Charcoal studies of my local park during the winter time. I find solace when in the midst of tall, overbearing trees, laden with the smell of the landscapes. The all encompassing sensory experience when in nature inevitably inspires me to visually jot down my connection with my natural surroundings.

Charcoal portrait of my sister Sanya from her Bharatanatyam Arangetram photoshoot. The exposition that Sanya presented was a culmination of the fully immersive experience that Bharatanatayam is. It is not only an Indian dance style but a whole artistic revelation that has positively impacted the way we perceive and connect to our Indian culture, through the rich folklore that the dance form entails.
